Typical symptoms in women that may indicate deficiencies or imbalances in the blood values tested:
- Slowed muscle growth and decreased muscle mass - particularly relevant in women who are menopausal or postpartum and have difficulty building muscle due to hormonal changes.
- Decreased sex drive and loss of libido, often due to hormonal fluctuations, particularly declining testosterone and DHEA levels, which can decrease with age or after childbirth.
- Fatigue, tiredness and sleep disorders, often caused by ferritin (iron) deficiency or hypothyroidism (TSH), which is more common in women.
- Reduced stamina and a general decrease in performance during sporting activities or in everyday life, often due to hormonal fluctuations or nutritional deficiencies.
- Increased body fat, which in women is often associated with hormonal changes during the menopause or an inadequate diet.
- Increased susceptibility to infections and a weakened immune system can indicate deficiencies in homocysteine or iron - especially if the iron balance is affected by the menstrual cycle or other factors.
- Heart rhythm disturbances, which can occur if homocysteine levels are too high or if the thyroid gland is malfunctioning - both of which are more common in women.
